Due to our poorly designed contract, the old $GRWV token was using excess fees at every transaction, costing 0.45-0.55$ / transaction which made it a bad choice for a currency that we intended to design as a form of ‘zero fee’ currency. The new, and improved contract is a safer, and cheaper cost alternative for every user, making transactions from 0.45-55$ to 0.03-0.15$.

The tokens will not be migrated in a 1:1 conversion rate, because the new token will have a higher price at start. All old tokens were sold at the same price making it fair for everyone. The received LP is then used to buy the new GRWV tokens which will be airdropped.

No, this migration was only essential to improve the security of the contract and decrease the costs of using the GreenWAVES token. Ultimately we made the migration for the future of the GreenWAVES token.
